About OUM

Open University Malaysia (OUM) is the first open and distance learning university in Malaysia. It is also the country’s 7th private university. Established in August 2000, OUM was launched by former Prime Minister, YAB Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, on 26 August 2002. Its’ main campus is located at Jalan Tun Ismail in Kuala Lumpur.

Starting with an intake of 753 learners in August 2001, OUM has admitted more than 70,000 learners into over 50 diploma, degree and postgraduate degree programs.
